Hello our dearest!

We are tremendously sorry we haven't been posting lately, but a series of unfortunate events has occured, including a crash of my computer, which I'd been without for 10 days, and working hard for our exams that are tomorrow!

So, tomorrow after we finish with the exams, around 4 o'clock, we have to run to the airport because we're going toooooooo...Paris!
This will be our first time in the fashion metropolis, so we promise lots of photos and interesting stories, as always!
With that, I leave you with Audrey :)

Ci scusiamo tanto per non aver pubblicato ultimamente, pero' una serie di sfortune ci e' venuta adosso, includendo la rottura del mio computer, che sono stata senza per 10 giorni, e lavorando per gli esami che abbiamo domani!

Allora, domani dopo che finiamo verso le 4, dobbiamo correre all' aeroporto perche' andiamo a...Parigi!
Sara' al nostra prima volta nella metropoli della moda, percio' vi promettiamo tante foto e storie divertenti, come sempre!

Viviane Sassen

The other I was looking for some interesting and inspiring images ( as always ), when I came across this Dutch photographer. Her name is Viviane Sassen, and although she's quite young ( given that she was born in 1972), her work is very recognizable and also very autobigraphic.

Some of her earliest memories are of life in Kenya, where she spent 3 years as a child. When her family returned to the Netherlands in 1978, Sassen was troubled : 'I didn't feel like I belonged in Europe, and yet I was a foreigner in Africa, ' she says. Ten years later, aged 16, she revisited Kenya, and she's been traveling and working in Africa ever since.

She made Parasomnia, her newest body of work, in a number of intentionally unidentified African countries, featuring anonymous subjects.

L'altro giorno stavo cercando le immagini interessanti e d'ispirazione ( come sempre ) quando ho trovato per caso questa fotografa olandese. Si chiama Viviane Sassen, ed anche se e' abbastanza giovane ( nata in 1972 ), il suo lavoro e' molto riconoscibile ed anche molto autobiografico.

I suoi primi ricordi sono della vita in Kenya, dove ha passato 3 anni come bambina. Quando la sua famiglia ritorno' in Olanda in 1978, Sassen si sentiva persa : ' Mi sentivo come se non appartenevo  in Europa, pero' nello stesso tempo era anche straniera in Kenya ', dice lei. 10 anni dopo, a 16 anni, lei ha rivisitato Kenya, e da tal punto sta viaggiando e lavorando in Africa.

Ha creato Parasomnia, il suo ultimo lavoro, in parecchi paesi d'Africa, con i soggetti anonimi.

Vintage market

So here is the deal : every last Sunday of each month there is a vintage market in Navigli, a part of Milan where everyone loves to hang out in the weekends. It's and area full of bars, restaurants, cool small shops and delicious crepes :) 

Last Sunday I bought the coolest hat ever! Which you'll see in one of the next posts...

And if you ever plan your trip to Milan, be sure to book your trip for the end of a month haha :) 

Allora, ultima domenica del ogni mese c'e' il mercato vintage sul Navigli, la parte di Milano dove la gente ama perdere il tempo perche' e' l'area piena dei bar, ristoranti, negozietti vintage molto chic e certamente delle favolose crepes :)

L'altra domenica ho comprato il capello piu' bello e divertente del mondo! Che avrete opportunita' di vedere in uno dei prossimi post...

E se programmate il vostro viaggio a Milano, siate sicuri di farlo per la fine del mese haha :)
